If you're on a budget and don't need a stroller that doubles up as car seat carriers The Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's simple to push, and it feels solid when navigating kerbs and woodland paths. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the most lightweight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, thanks to its extremely nimble handling and fold-down that fits into aeroplane overhead luggage. This latest version features independent suspension on all four wheels constructed of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to effortlessly navigate all terrains and types'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame along with the curved fabric bassinet and 6+ month color pack combine to form a stylish pushchair that is easy to look at and has a subtle but elegant design and a tasteful branding. The base frame weighs less than a kilogram and is so light that you can lift it from the box using just one hand.

It's also easy to attach or remove adaptors or attachments - the hood, for instance, snaps on to the YOYO2 by clicking - as well as being machine washable to remove stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a My Babiie MBX5 Ultralight Pram in Pink starting from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to stroller at 6 months old by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents who want an adaptable stroller wagon. The Evenflo Pivot can be transformed from a stroller to an actual wagon by flipping the handle. Parents can then select which one is the best fit for their journey. The wagon can hold two or more children from 6 months to 5 years, and it has a wide storage basket that can accommodate all of your on-the-go needs.

The Xplore also has two canopies that move from front to back, providing ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than other wagons. This may not be ideal for long drives or naps.

The frame on the Xplore feels solid and sturdy but it doesn't have the same flexibility as other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the other models, and it does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to maneuver, though, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents seeking a second stroller that's priced reasonably. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and size folded which means it's light, compact when folded and easy to lift into a trunk of a car or closet. It also has the option of reclining in multiple positions and a cup holder for the parent. Other important features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

It performed better in our push and turn test than many of the other strollers we tested, but was still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has were among the smallest strollers we test. They only cover the top of the stroller and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

It took us less than three minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. None of the parts required tools. However, it's missing certain essential features that we believe you should not compromise on in a double stroller, like a large basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the most recent model in Maxi-Cosi's range of pushchairs and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is suitable from birth until 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be converted easily with a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a lightweight Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in car-base and a reversible car seat.

It's a breeze to maneuver, and the one-hand recline of the seat and the massive shopping basket make it simple for parents to get their child in and out of the seat quickly. Although it is a narrow pushchair it handled the everyday bumps well and slid through doors without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked into an forward position or allow them to rotate which is helpful when traversing rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate while walking along a stony path. It handled the situation well, although it seemed slightly more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is known for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain pushchairs for jogging, but they also make a good assortment of strollers with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is simple to use and folds small enough to fit in a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It weighs more than other strollers that we tested, but because it has rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-made. It is easy to maneuver across different terrains and even with two kids, a shopping bag and other things.

The carrycot and the seat both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are sturdy and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams, which can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It does not have much storage space, but it comes with a large basket deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or a large amount of groceries. You can also use it with a Baby Jogger car seat for infants who weigh 20 pounds or less (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to use a stroller on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that captured the hearts of a lot of parents when it first debuted. It's an aluminum-framed stroller which can be used from baby's first days to beyond. It's got a few distinctive features like the possibility of flipping the seat to be parent-facing and world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy that has an eye-shade that flips out, a spacious basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are durable and foam-filled which minimises punctures and the chassis has built-in suspension which takes the sting out of rough terrain. Our tester found it to be smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets with ease.

It locks automatically and folds in just four steps. It can also stand and be rolled around for easier transportation in the car's boot or down the stairs at home. The travel system is available with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors included. The brakes come with only one action and are colour coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is easy to use and has a fantastic dual suspension. It folds using just one hand, and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also lightweight and robust. The seat can be reclined into many positions and is equipped with a double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't great because it's not as quiet as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It can be used with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be positioned to face each other or be turned around to face the parents, theoretically reducing sibling rivalries over who sits with dad and mom. It has a huge gear tray, bottle holder snack tray, and a change mat. It also has an automated frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban glide 2 is a great jogger for parents that like to be active. It is one of the lightest strollers for running that you can buy your child. It also comes with great safety features, including a 5-point safety harness and wrist safety straps. It also has an innovative twist hand brake that's different than the lever type that is found on other models.

The seat is comfortable and offers a large area to sit in, but the seat's depth is lower than other joggers we've tried (it's approximately 10"). The storage bin is covered with a zipper to keep things secure. It can hold 10 lbs. This is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets for infants or car seats in the way it is, however you can use it right from the start with the purchase of adapters to most seats from brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It is easy to fold and assemble in just 5-10 minutes with no tools. The manual is easy to comprehend and contains multiple languages.
